A bank robbery took place in broad daylight in Sheikhpura on Monday. About 10 miscreants entered Axis Bank located at Srikrishna Chowk in Barbigha. By the time the bank employees got suspicious, the miscreants took out their weapons and held everyone hostage. After this, they looted almost all the cash kept in the cash counter and locker. Not only this, the miscreants also looted the customers present inside the bank. A total of Rs 45 lakh is being reported to have been looted.

Here, after the incident, there was a stir in the area. A crowd of people gathered around. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and started investigating. According to the eyewitness, about 10 criminals came in shortly after the bank opened at 10 am. They stood at different places.
